After researching a Hong Kong based artist Kirsteen Pieterse, I was given the opportunity to work with her in her workshop. She demonstrated her method of creating her acrylic and steel models and guided me through the first experimental models. Below is the final piece that I did at her workshop. The model depicts the gradual destruction and collapse of a structure. Using the same method as Fujimoto did in building the Serpentine Pavilion, I created the geometric side of the sculpture. I then gradually broke the specific increments and the structure began to decay.
